a senior statistician/Cartographer, before joining the Banking Industry.
She has about two-decade experience as a Professional banker in various commercial banks and other
financial institutions in Lagos and Abia Branch, before joining the Nigerian Stock Exchange as a

Brief History of the Branch
The Branch was inaugurated by Mazi O.C.K. Unegbu, FCIB (the then President/Chairman of Council) on 17 July 2003 under the Chairmanship of Mr. Richard C. Harrison, ACIB. During Annual General Meeting /Elections held on 12 April 2008, Mr. F.I. Okeke, ACIB emerged the Branch Chairman During 12 August 2010 Annual General Meeting /Elections, Mr. Chidi D. Nwachukwu, ACIB emerged as the Branch Chairman Mr. Chidi D. Nwachukwu, FCIB was re-elected on 19 September, 2013 Annual General Meeting /Elections December 17, 2015 Branch Annual General Meeting/Elections Mr. Olalekan Akomolafe, ACIB emerged as the Branch Chairman.
The Branch 2018 Annual General Meeting/Election brought in Mrs. Veronica Aqua, HCIB, the CBN Branch Controller Umuahia as Chairman.
In 2020 another CBN Branch Controller, Mr. Onyeka Michael Ogbu, HCIB was duly elected as the Branch Chairman for 2-year tenure Currently the Branch held its Annual General Meeting/Elections on December 10, 2022 and Princess Roseline Chinenye Maxwell Ogalabu, FCIB became the Branch current Chairman.

Ijiekhuamhen Osareme Santos is a chartered banker and the Branch service manager of Access Bank plc Yenagoa Branch. He is also the team lead of bullion services Bayelsa Branch and the cluster head of Access bank plc Bayelsa Branch. He also attended Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, where he obtained B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Accounting (Second class upper) and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from ESUT business school. He is also an associate member of risk and management association of Nigeria(RIMAN) Ijiekhuamhen Osareme Santos was the 1st Vice Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Bayelsa Branch Branch for the 2020 council year. Brief Profile of the Branch
The Branch was officially inaugurated by Mazi O.C.K. Unegbu (the then President/Chairman of Council of the Institute) on July 14, 2003, under the Chairmanship of Mr Iferi Ujong, (then Chairman Bankers Committee, Yenagoa). The Branch started as a baby of the Bankers Committee and was run by the Executive Members of the then Bankers Committee, Yenagoa. Mr. Emmanuel Ekpenisi later took over from Mr. Iferi Ujon and continued to coordinate the affairs of the CIBN Branch till 2008. The 1st Branch AGM was held on 7th August 2008 and Mr. Emmanuel Ekpenisi emerged as the first Chairman of the Branch while Mr.Eroge Anderson became the Branch 1st General Secretary. On January 2011 Mr. Pere F.K. Agedah, ACIB became the Branch Ag. Chairman and Mr. Patrick Ologidi, Ag. General Secretary because of the official transfer of the Chairman and the General Secretary out of Bayelsa Branch. 2nd AGM of the Branch was held on 12 December 2013 and Mr. Bestman Azebi, FCIB emerged as the Branch Chairman and Mr. Igboko Sunny K. was elected as the Branch General Secretary. 3rd AGM/Elections of the Branch were held on 21 March 2016 and Mr. Bestman Azebi was returned as the Chairman of the Branch till date.
4th AGM/Elections of the Branch was held on March 22nd 2018 and Mr Ikechukwu Okeke emerged as Chairman of the institute for a 2 year tenure. 5TH AGM/Elections of the Branch was held on March 15th 2020 and Mr Ikechukwu Okeke was returned as the chairman of the institute till 2022. On April 21st, 2022, the 6th AGM/Elections was held and Mr Osareme Santos Ijiekhuamhen was elected as the chairman of the Branch till date

The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch participated in the Finance and Banking student’s week at the University of Africa Toru orua from January 9th to January 13th, 2023. The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch visited and had interactive session with the Banking and Finance students at Niger Delta University (NDU) on January 30, 2023. The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch visited and had interactive session with the Banking and Finance students at Federal University Otuoke on January 30, 2023. The CIBN Bayelsa Branch Branch had a public awareness engagement at Swali market Yenagoa on the CBN currency design policy on January 23rd, 2023, to January 28th 2023 at 8:30am daily.

Akwa Ibom Branch Branch of the Institute was formally launched on Saturday, March 23, 1991, at the Branch Governor’s Office Annex, Uyo, Akwa Ibom Branch. Following the launch, Mr. Linus Ndukanjor Onuoha of UBA emerged as the pioneer Branch Chairman alongside Mr. Anthony Edmond Udom who emerged as General Secretary. Dr. Timothy Ogieva Ogbebor, MCIB, ACIB is an economist and a seasoned banker. He holds the B.Sc. (Second Class, Upper Division), M.Sc., and PhD degrees in Economics as well as an MBA degree from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. He is a Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Scholar having won the Prize of best graduating M.Sc. Economics student at the University of Benin, Nigeria.

Prior to joining Coronation Merchant Bank, She was a Director and Chief Operating Officer at FBNQuest

revolution that grew the balance sheet and massively increased revenues with two key acquisitions and

Mr. Adeyemo A Adeoye currently serves as the Managing Director/CEO of CHEN
& ELEOS Capital Limited.
Adeyemo brings over two decades of practical Banking experience, traversing
several segments of the Nigerian Banking and Financial services industry, to the
steering of the company’s day-to-day operations as well as providing
quintessential navigation for the tactical direction of the various business
segments.
He resigned from FCMB (First City Monument Bank), Lagos, Nigeria in September,
2018 where he headed Commercial Banking (for Ikeja) to join Chen & Eleos
Capital, in October, 2018, as the pioneer MD/CEO. However, prior to that, he
worked in some Commercial banks in diverse leadership and strategic roles. His
depth of experience covers Retail & Consumer Banking, Credit & Relationship
Management, Treasury & Product development, Branch coordination and
leadership roles, as well as other spheres of Commercial Banking.
Since joining the company as the pioneer MD/CEO in 2018, he has successfully originated and participated in numerous high-volume, high-valued, multidimensional and complex financial transactions, which has led to significant yearon-year growth in the company’s financial performance, as well as refocused the company’s Consumer Finance businesses, and the Financial Advisory Services segment. He has also initiated and led a commendable business and revenue diversification model to strengthen revenue-growth and lay a firm footing for the company’s financial future.
At various times in his career, he was a Marketing Officer, a Relationship Manager, and a Branch Manager in charge of many branches in some commercial banks with various portfolios of responsibilities and handling transaction with numerous depths and architectures. His professional experience covers stints at Global Bank PLC, Intercontinental Bank PLC (now Access Bank PLC) and Bank PHB PLC (now Key Stone Bank Limited) as well as the First City Monument Bank (FCMB). A veteran at Branch Management, he won awards and commendations while managing some Branches in Commercial Banks (especially, while serving as a Branch Manager in Bank PHB PLC).
Adeyemo holds a BSc (in Banking & Finance) from Olabisi Onabanjo University and an MBA (specializing in Finance) from Obafemi Awolowo, Ile-Ife, both in Nigeria. In addition, he is a qualified professional across several fields of the financial services and allied sectors, with significant intellectual energy that has been varyingly applied in multifarious areas of expertise.
A detailed-oriented professional, he also received the CIBN Council Award/Prize as the Overall Best Student (in PE1 category, 1997) while writing his Banking professional qualifying examinations. He qualified as a Banking Professional (ACIB) twenty-four (24) years ago, and was subsequently elected a Fellow (FCIB). In addition to being a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers (FCIB), Adeyemo Adeoye is also a Fellow of the Institute of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (FERP), Senior Member of the Portfolio Management Institute (SMPMI), and an Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM). In addition, he holds the Practice License issued by the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He has attended several trainings and seminars, including the Business Analytics: Decision Making Using Data Course at the University of Cambridge (Cambridge George Business School) Executive Education.

Current Branch Chairman started his Professional career with Winsome consulting as a Senior financial and Management Consultant about 28 years ago and has professional experience spanning Banking, Human Capital Management, Academia and Accountancy. At winsome consulting, he was able to manage the Core Consulting Dept. with responsibilities for developing various HR. and finance programs that fits organizational global and tech needs. He left for the banking sector for 10 years working with Internationally rated banks where he pioneered and played key roles in managing the banks business transformation rising to the post of Head, Business development and finance, managing several portfolios that transformed the bank’s assets and markets.
He was headhunted from the bank to lead the Finance and Account department at Dana Plc, a multinational company from where he joined Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta as a lecturer, lecturing, mentoring, conducting research and getting actively involved in community service and Engagement. He is an Alumnus of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), University of Benin (UNIBEN), Lagos state University (LASU) and Lagos State University of Education (LASUED). He holds an M.Phil /PhD in Finance from Uniben, Masters in Finance from UNILAG, Masters in Business Administration from LASU and two (2) B.Sc. degrees in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin, Benin City and Banking and Finance degree from Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, with the prestigious NCE from LASUED.
He is a microfinance bank certified expert by CIBN(MCIB). Also, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). A Member of the Chartered institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He is an entrepreneur with interest in fisheries and aquaculture, and has been a certified coach/mentor on the GIZ Start up loop(Nigerian/German initiative). He heads the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Ogun State as Chairman and was recently elected, into the Council Member of CIBN. He just completed his tenure as Secretary of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), Ogun State in which he previously serves as their Finance Director, while currently serving as treasurer Unilag Alumni, Ogun State Branch. He sits on the boards of some companies and is a member of many professional bodies’ committees covering education, curriculum, and membership development. He is an award winner with National Mathematical Centre, Abuja.

Ogun State is a state in southwestern Nigeria. Created on 3 February 1976 from the former Western State. Alh. Salami M.O. was born over forty-eight years ago into the family of Alh. And Mrs Tiamiyu Ayinde Salami of Imam’s Compound, Ileogbo, Ayedire Local Government, Osun State. He is seasoned Banker and a reputable Chartered Accountant and Tax practitioner, who have over three decade working experience which cut across universal bank, Community banks, microfinance bank and Audit Firm.
He started his professional audit career in the year 1993 when he joined Messrs Adekunle Araoye and co in Lagos as audit assistant, He rose to the position of audit Manager before he left the firm in 1998. He started his banking career with United bank for Africa as a youth corps member in the year 2000 and since then; he has been in banking industry and held different positions in different organizations as stated below; Olubasiri Microfinance bank - as Head of Credits and marketing between year 2001-2003 Legend Microfinance bank –as Head of Operations and Accounts between year 2003-2005 OSCOTECHs microfinance bank Limited (state mfb status) - as the pioneer managing director /CEO between 2005 till date.

Yearly participation in Osun State post budget appraisal analysis We won a trophy as the best Branch among the community of Branches at the Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja in 2009 We held a stakeholders’ meeting at CBN Osun State Branch on Wednesday June 23, 2010. Visitation programme of Dr. Olusegun Aina, the National President at Gazal Holiday Inn, Dada Estate Osogbo on Thursday May 24, 2012. We discussed issues on our purchased landed property certificate of occupancy (C of O) in which we attempted to see the Chief of Staff on same on November 1, 2012.
We hosted the president/chairman of council, Dr. Segun Aina OFR, FCIB to the commissioning of the South-West Zonal office on Thursday May 6, 2014 @ 8 Adesina Cresent, GRA, Oke-fia Osogbo. We paid courtesy calls to both Fountain University and Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) on Tuesday September 8, 2014 and Wednesday 10, 2014 respectively. Visitation to late Akirun of Ikirun, April 28, 2015. We organized AGM/ Election of officers to usher in Sir Faponhunda on Saturday August 22, 2015 at CIBN Zonal Secretariat, GRA, Osogbo. We attended the maiden lecture of the Faculty of Social and Management Science at Bowen University, Iwo Osun State to honor our president on Wednesday November 30th, 2016.
We had AGM/Election for Mr. Sunday Sasona, on 28th October, 2018 at the South- West Zonal office GRA, Oke-fia Osogbo/ Dinner on Friday April 27th, 2018. He teaches and has published work in the areas of Financial Management, Money & Banking, Business Finance, Business Ethics, and Capital Market Operations.

Brief History of the Branch
The Branch started as a Chapter with the coming together of some fellows and Associates of the Institute in Awka, Anambra State and held its general/inaugural meeting on April 12, 1992, under the Chairmanship of Mr. M.M. Nweke, ACIB and Prince M.E. Emechebe, as the General Secretary. The Branch was officially inaugurated as a Chapter on December 17, 1994, by Mr. J. O. Ekundayo, FCIB (the then President/Chairman of Council of the Institute) under the Chairmanship of Mr. Dadson O. C. Wakalo, ACIB.

The Branch was created on October 12, 2019 following a successfully elections of Branch Executive who
took over from the Caretaker Committee. The Branch was officially inaugurated on February 20, 2021 by

1. Speakers at the UNEC Confidence consult, "CIBN Sensitization Day" organized by the Department of
Banking and Finance, UNEC. The 1ST Vice Chairman, Mr. Stephen Orji, FCIB, the General Secretary, Mrs
Theresa Ejiofor MCIB, the Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul O. J. Okino ACIB and a member Mr. Dan N. Ukwu
ACIB were facilitators at the event.
The event was held on 4th of February, 2022 and 74 students participated.
2. Speakers at the maiden "CIBN Sensitization Day" organized by the Department of Banking and Finance,
IMT Enugu. The 1ST Vice Chairman, Mr. Stephen Orji, FCIB, the Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul O. J. Okino
ACIB, and a member Mrs Grace Okenwa ACIB, were facilitators at the event.
This event was held on 15th of September 2022 and 120 students participated.
3. Visitation to the Godfrey Okoye University, Emene on Inaugural lecture of Prof. Micheal Nwafor, HCIB
on March 16th, 2022 which was attended by Mr. Stephen Orji; Mrs. Theresa Ejiofor, Prof Titus Nwanne, and
Prof M. Nwafor.
4. Conducted CSR for 2022 on Operation Clean Our Environment in collaboration with ENSWAMA (Sanitation)
on the 11th June, 2022 at Lower Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu.
Use of CIBN customized T-Shirts was launched. The State PRO ESWAMA, Ms Wendy MOORE was also part of the
event.
5. Conducted Bankers Forum for 2022, Hybrid form, on the 13th August, 2022 at the Oakland Hotel, Ebeano
Tunnel Crossing, Enugu.
The event was physically attended by a total of 43 stakeholders and other
members of the industry; and as well attended virtually by 83 members.
The theme of the forum was
Agency Banking System in Nigeria; Perceptions, Operations, Opportunities And Challenges.
The lecture was delivered by MR. Abednego UGWUEKE, Head, Financial Inclusion Services, First Bank of
Nigeria Limited.
6. Organized the Branch 2022 annual general meeting (AGM) on 25th August, 2022 at Western bricks
international hotel, Enugu.

Imo Branch Chairman
Mr. Rogers Augustine Nwoke was born on August 25th 1968 and hails from Emeabiam in Owerri-West Local Government Area of Imo State. Mr. Nwoke is a seasoned Accountant and Banker with over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry covering investment, consumer banking, retail banking, and commercial banking. He is the founding Managing Director/CEO of HASAL Microfinance bank Limited, a State-licensed Microfinance bank established in 2008 with capital base in excess of N2b and operating out of 18 locations within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Mr. Rogers Nwoke holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Nigeria, and an MBA from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick England where his research interest focused on microfinance models and entrepreneurship development. He is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Honorary Senior Member (HCIB) and Certified Microfinance Banker (MCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
He is also a Fellow of Institute of Credit Administration (FICA), and Fellow Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). Mr. Nwoke is an International Certified Microfinance Expert (iCME) and International Certified SME Finance Expert (iCSME) from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany. He is also an Alumnus of the Havard Business School Accion Program on Strategic Leadership in Microfinance.
Mr. Nwoke’s wealth of hands-on experience in microfinance have had profound effect on the continuous growth and success of HASAL Microfinance Bank, a bank he left commercial banking in 2008 to set up. HASAL is a thriving financial services institution that promotes financial inclusion, supporting Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with financial services that promote enterprise development and growth.

The Branch received the past President at Imo Airport with the Executives of Federal Polythenic, Nekede,
Owerri when he came for the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the bankers hall built at Federal
Polythenic,Nekede,Owerri.
The Branch Executives visited the Imo State Governor with the past president on the 16th of November 2022.
The Branch organized Career Talks for Madonna Secondary School.Owerri and Alvana Model Secondary,Owerri on the 17th of March 2022.
The Branch also received the past President at the Imo Airport and followed him to Federal Polythenic Nekede for the launching of the Bankers Hall built for the school. The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Professor Placid Njoku was the special guest of Honour at the event.
The Branch organized a Bankers Football Tournament for Bankers in Imo State as part of the activities for the bankers week. The Branch also organized Career talk for Owerri City School on the 15th of September 2022.
The Chairman of CIBN, Imo State Chapter, Mr Augustine Nwoke attended the bankers Annual Conference held in Abuja in July 2022 and one of Linkgage Institutions which is the Federal Polythenic, Nekede, Owerri won a prize.

Profile of the Chairperson
Mr. Lekan Stephen Olarewaju, ACIB, has a first degree in Agricultural Economics and second degree in
Business Administration from ABU Zaria and University of Ilorin respectively. He had a banking
experience spanning 28 years at Afribank, SGBN and First bank of Nigeria, where he retired as a Senior
Manager in the year 2019. He is Currently the financial controller of Sadola Pharmacy Ltd and the
Chairman of the Kwara State Branch of the CIBN. He is vastly exposed to SME and Agric financing and
control when he was with FBN.
He was the CIBN Branch auditor in the Exco of 2015-2017 set and has served in various committees within
CIBN Kwara State Branch. He is an examiner of CIBN exam and had handled few national assignments on
behalf of the Branch at various times before now.

PROFILE OF kWARA Branch
Kwara State is a state in Western Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger state, and to the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states, while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin Republic. Malam Aliyu Wada-Nas, ACIB is a banker with over 17 years’ experience in Corporate Banking,
Retail Banking, Services, and Islamic Banking.
He started his banking career with FirstBank of Nigeria Limited in 2005, rosed to the position of
Business Development Manager for Kano and Jigawa state before leaving FirstBank for Sterling Bank in
2021.
He is currently the Regional Head for Non-Interest Banking in Sterling Bank overseeing the Northwest 2 Region. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Bayero university Kano, a master’s in international Affairs and Diplomacy and another master’s in public administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Aliyu is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is also a certified
Islamic finance executive (ETHICA). Aliyu is the Chairman of the Kano Branch of the CIBN, he is also a

Kano Branch participated in the Examination Invigilation and supervision exercise during the October
2022 CIBN Examinations.
Kano Branch participated in commissioning ceremony of the CIBN Legacy Hall at Kano State Polyethnic which was conducted by the President and Chairman of Council Dr. Ken Opara, FCIB on December 19, 2022.
CIBN Kano Interbank Sports Competition took place Between October, 2022 – December,2022.

MUSTAPHA BUBA AHMED, ACIB was Born on 4th November 1979. He Completed his primary education at St Louis Primary School Kano in 1990. Gained admission into FGC Jos in 1991 and graduated in 1996. Proceeded to University of Abuja (UoA) from 1997 to 2001 to study Business Administration. He then completed his master’s in business administration at Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
Started his career as a commercial banker and later a regulator with the CBN. Worked with Oceanic Bank
2004 - 2011. Started as a Teller in Kano and left as a Branch Manager of Hadejia Branch.
Joined the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2011 as a Deputy Manager and rose to Principal Manager following 3
promotions within 10 years.
He is the pioneer 1st Vice Chairman of the CIBN Katsina Branch 2018 and was instrumental in establishing
the study and exams centres in Katsina
He has been one of the Tutors that provided free lectures to teeming student-members of the Institute and ensured the success rate was always above average in the centre. He is currently the Chairman of the Branch (CIBN Katsina) and holds an MBA and several recognised certifications. Finally, he has kept the CIBN flag flying so high following his exceptional leadership qualities which has led to the speedy development of the Branch.
Brief Profile of the Branch
CIBN KATSINA Branch was established in September 2018 with the pioneer Excos under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Hamman Joda, the then CBN Branch Controller with Mustapha Buba Ahmed, ACIB as his 1st Vice Chairman while Mueez Gafar as the Secretary of the Branch.
The Branch quickly established a study centre at Little Angels International Schools, Katsina before the end of 2018 to prepare candidates for the April Diet of the 2019 CIBN Exams. From its inception, the Branch had always been on its toes to reach out and create awareness about the institute in Katsina State. In so doing, a range of Yearly activities were introduced and adopted.
They include Minimum of 4 Quarterly Meetings, Minimum of 4 Career Talks, Financial Institutions, Sports Event, Study classes for April and October diets, Courtesy visits, Corporate Social Responsibility, Annual Lecture, Annual Dinner
So far, the Branch boasts a total of over 313 members with an average yearly increase of around 13%. The Branch also reactivates an average of 10 dormant members on a yearly basis.
There also linkage programme with Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina while an MOU is been executed with the Al-Qalam University, Katsina.

Mr. Michael Omoniyi Jolayemi, FCIB is the Chairman of the branch. Mr. Jolayemi is responsible for
identifying and implementing the branch's long-term growth and sustainability initiatives.
He is a foundation member of the Branch and was instrumental in establishing it and served in its
inaugural leadership team. He previously served as the Chairman of the Kaduna State (Nigeria) Branch of
the CIBN from 2002 to 2005.
Prior to relocating to the USA in 2006, Mr. Jolayemi was an established banker for nearly four decades.
He held progressive positions of leadership in various banks culminating in his appointment as the
Executive Chairman of First African Trust Bank Limited by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1995.
Currently, he is a Senior Internal Auditor at a financial institution in the USA.
He holds an HND from Kaduna Polytechnic, and an MBA from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma. He also has a postgraduate certificate in Accounting from California State University, Dominguez Hill, USA. In addition, Michael is a certified internal auditor (CIA), and certified fraud examiner (CFE), and he holds a certification in risk management assurance (CRMA). Michael believes in professionalism, personal working ethics, and integrity. He resides in California State, USA.

The United States of America Branch of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) was registered in the State of California, USA, and inaugurated on August 15, 2015, by Otunba (Mrs.) ‘Debola Osibogun FCIB, President/Chairman of Council (2014-2016) in the State of Georgia, USA. The Branch’s Membership consists of Nigerians who had worked in various Banks and Financial Institutions in Nigeria and thereafter relocated to the United States of America for various reasons. We are spread across many States of the country. We come together to harness Members’ interests and promote banking education, towards the fulfillment of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)'s Policies and Objectives of being Nigeria’s wheel of economic growth, creating value and fostering confidence in the country’s economy.
